Commercial Lines Sales Representative

Job description

The Commercial Lines Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business through outside marketing and initiating referrals from existing customers. Responsibilities include servicing current customers, analyzing potential business and commercial client exposures, recommending appropriate coverage solutions, and negotiating with clients to sell coverage solutions.

• Work closely with Field Agents to obtain commercial referrals.
• Outbound calling to potential and established clients daily to set face-to-face appointments where you will travel to the client’s site, ensuring outstanding customer service through regular follow-ups; you’ll be expected to report regularly to an assigned branch office.
• Leverage current customers and relationships for new growth, sales, and lead opportunities.
• Increase new business by contacting prospects through local marketing efforts, community involvement, cold-calling (face-to-face and phone), quote calls, and referrals.
• Consistently closing sales and achieving monthly activity and revenue goals.
• Analyze and evaluate new risks.
• Service all new and renewal accounts. Provide renewal quotes, review endorsements, and policy changes while exhibiting superior customer service.
• Issue binders, Certificates of Liability and handle non-renewals and cancellations.
• Bind Insurance coverage for all customers with carriers to receive payment, obtain all required signatures on documents, and process according to carrier underwriting requirements.
• Daily deposits of all monies collected and follow reporting process.
• Daily follow-up with carriers regarding ongoing quotes, missing or additional information required to issue new business or service existing policy.
• Enter all client/policy information in the system for new clients.
• Build and maintain quality relationships with businesses.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of six months in a call center environment

Pleasant and professional telephone demeanor

1+ Customer service experience

Bilingual preferred

Demonstrates well-developed computer skills (internet, email, word processing, spreadsheets, hardware, keyboarding).

Strong time management and decision making skills

 

 

Wholesale Personal Lines - Underwriter

Work from: Corporate Office in Oak Lawn, Illinois

Responsible for quoting, issuing, renewing, and servicing Personal Lines Insurance products for our large broker network.  Extensive communication with our brokers daily requires working in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.  Our underwriters serve as program experts by providing guidance and gold standard service to our broker partners for their personal lines needs.  The underwriter's strengths will lie in knowing personal lines insurance coverages, carrier guidelines, rating systems, agency management systems, excellent customer service, and taking pride in being a contributing member of a great team.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Responsiveness to our broker's needs

·       Quick and accurate quoting

·       Prompt and accurate policy issuance and servicing

·       The input of data into our Agency Management System

·       Ability to assess rates to place risks with the best carrier fit properly

·       Providing polite, upbeat, and professional customer service to our broker partners

·       Maintaining office professionalism and expertise in all aspects of servicing our brokers and our internal customers/teammates

·       Manages all documents to ensure file quality and completeness

Qualities:

·       Experience in Personal Lines Insurance either at the agency or carrier level

·       Eagerness to provide quality customer service

·       English/Spanish bilingual speaking is highly preferred

·       Team player

·       Self-motivator

·       Good presenter of data to our brokers and management

·       Property and Casualty licensed preferred

·       Strong computer and email understanding

·       Strong communication skills
